And you think your husband is lazy? It could be worse… just ask Cheryl!

Always a man’s man, Jim (James Belushi) is a laid-back contractor who craves nothing more than his favourite chair and a cold beer. Competing for Jim’s attention are his wife Cheryl (Courtney Thorne-Smith), the rock of the family – and his three children: Gracie, Ruby and Kyle. Life for Jim would be easier without the intrusions of Cheryl’s successful — yet meddlesome — sister Dana (Kimberly Williams) and her temperamental brother Andy (Larry Joe Campbell), an uptight architect who works with Jim. To escape, Jim retreats to his garage where he finds not peace and quiet… but his six-man blues band, ready to raise the roof!

Saturday 11 July, 5.30pm

Now in its seventh exciting season, According To Jim continues to take a comedic look at this all-American guy, both a family man and a man’s man. Jim is fiercely devoted to his beautiful wife, Cheryl, and their five kids, but his typical goofiness to family life is his endearing feature which draws us back for more each week!

He loves his family but continues to test his wife’s patience with his stubborn antics. He also sometimes takes for granted his brother-in-law and best friend, Andy, who doggedly covers for Jim’s constant scheming and continues his own search for the perfect woman.

Tonight, Cheryl and Jim have an evening at home without the kids and decide to stay in and just have dessert for dinner. But Jim’s choice of pastries causes a spat which morphs into an all-out food fight. The next day they laugh off the night’s argument, and Jim is thrilled that they don’t seem to have to talk things out. But then Andy, who’s out for revenge on Jim for coaxing his kids to play pranks on him, counsels Cheryl to really dissect and analyse her marital arguments.
