This season on the Bering Sea was full of surprises. The Deadliest Catch captains meet up to discuss the unprecedented ice they had to deal with and all the headaches it caused, reliving the storm of the century that blasted the fleet this year. The captains explore their legacies, swap stories of the legends of the Bering Sea, long simmering feuds emerge and scores are settled. The battle is over for this year, but the war is just heating up.

After The Catch invites Deadliest Catch fans to watch and listen as their favourite crab fishermen come together once again to celebrate and reminisce about another harrowing crab season. The captains and deckhands will recount this years highs and lows from the Aloha State, on the beautiful island of Oahu. Honolulu, the 5th largest fishing port in the United States, will be the hub for host Mike Rowe and the Captains as they catch some rays, ride some waves and tell tales, old and new, of the Bering Sea. From the hilarious to the horrific, video roll ins recap the season and its most memorable moments, as well as some never before seen footage and never before revealed personal stories from the Dutch Harbour crab fleet.

After The Catch invites Deadliest Catch fans to watch and listen as their favourite crab fishermen come together on land to celebrate their exciting and dangerous careers. Seated around a table at the popular Blue Nile bar in New Orleans, Captains Sig, Keith, Jonathan and Andy, and crewmembers, discuss this year’s King and Opilio crab seasons, and pay tribute to their fallen brother, Captain Phil Harris. They will tell tales, old and new, of the Bering Sea, and give us a glimpse into their personal lives. From the hilarious to the horrific, video roll-ins recap the season and its most memorable moments, as well as some never before seen footage from the Dutch Harbor crab fleet. We’ll have a variety of special guests, from behind the scenes producers to alligator farmers and coast guard heroes. And we welcome back Mike Rowe with a couple of new features, including a gumbo cook-off and an oyster-eating contest!

Seated around a table at the popular RT’s Longboard Grill in San Diego, Captains Phil, Sig, Keith, Jonathan and Andy, discuss this year’s King and Opilio crab seasons. They tell tales, old and new, of the Bering Sea, and give us a glimpse into their personal lives. From the hilarious to the horrific, video clips recap the season and its most memorable moments, as well as some never before seen footage from the Dutch Harbour crab fleet. We’ll have a variety of special guests, from behind-the-scenes producers, to marine biologists and coast guard heroes. With new host, Ben Bailey, this year’s After The Catch will have a couple new twists, including a running gag, “cash bar” and an example of each captain’s cooking in every epiosde.

The deadliest season may be over but the stories continue as America’s favorite crab fishermen meet to swap tales from the Bering Sea! In a town famous for fishing and sea tragedies of its own, Dirty Jobs host, Mike Rowe and the Deadliest Catch crew, have invited some of Gloucester’s daring fishermen to the bar, to stir up some healthy east-west rivalry. Other special guests include author, Spike Walker and the barmaid from Dutch Harbor. Plus catch all the behind the scenes action in the special Deadliest Catch: Behind The Scenes on Wednesday November 5 at 8.30pm.

Premiere: After The Catch

Discovery Channel – Saturday 22 September, 7.30pm

The weekend prior to the premiere of Deadliest Catch Season 3, Discovery Channel will air four new episodes of After The Catch. Captains Phil, Sig, Jonathan, Larry and deckhand Hiram, meet up with Mike Rowe, from the Discovery hit-series Dirty Jobs, to swap stories about the most dangerous job in the world. Listen to the captains and crew tell tales beyond what we know from the previous seasons of Deadliest Catch. They answer pressing questions about being a crab fisherman and viewers learn about their pasts, hear haunting stories of ships lost at sea and watch these fascinating men reminisce on camera, together, with a drink in one hand and a cigarette in the other.
