Animal Cops: Miami

ANIMAL PLANET – Friday 22 October, 9.30pm

This series follows the humane law investigators of Miami Dade Animal Services Department in their battle against animal cruelty. Newly formed in 2005 and now independent from the Miami-Dade police department, the investigators and 18 animal control officers cover South Beach Miami to the Everglades, and their busy unit responds to over 150 calls each day. Also featured is the work of the agencies in Miami who respond to exotic and wildlife calls, such as the alligator nuisance hotline, the police department’s venom response team and wildlife outpost.
