Apple TV

Media analysts are predicting Apple to wade deeper into the TV market beyond Apple TV as early as this year.

Several reports are indicating that Apple is preparing to launch a Smart TV towards the end of 2011 or early 2012.

Analyst Brian White from Ticonderoga Securities is predicting the product to differ from the existing Apple TV, which allows users to watch streaming content on a TV.

White believes the product “would go well beyond the miniature second-generation Apple TV that the company released last fall.”

He says the new technology would “provide a full-blown TV product for consumers.”

Robert Evans from i4u.com has given his predictions on how he believes Apple should go about entering the TV market.

Evans doesn’t believe why Apple couldn’t market a new 32” Smart TV for about the same price as a regular HD 42” TV in order to keep them attainable to consumers despite their ‘premium device’ status.

He also raises the option of involving Genius and Shuffle into the TV.
