Baby Ballroom

Friday 11th July at 9.30pm

Get your groove on and bop to the beat with these miniature movers. Tensions are high in the final of Baby Ballroom – who will be crowned the top couple?

Paso Doble

It’s all about bullfighting! It’s a bit like chasing a bull around the dancefloor with a cape.

Do: Make your movements dramatic.
Don’t: Be afraid to stamp your feet – the man should stamp like he’s trying to get a bull’s attention. Loud!
Fact: ‘Paso doble’ is Spanish for ‘two step’.

Friday 27th June at 8.30pm

Baby Ballroom sees fourteen pairs of the most exceptional young ballroom dancers demonstrate their skills, dazzle with their steps, and battle it out on the dance floor.

Performing everything from the Mambo and Waltz to the Foxtrot and Quickstep, the diminutive dancers, aged between six and eleven, face tough competition as they put their weeks of rehearsals to the test and compete in two separate heats to secure a place in the dramatic grand final.

The contestants hail from all over the UK, and are the best of the best. Many have been dancing for years, winning national and international awards, and have to draw on all their competitive experience to perform to the best of their abilities during the live shows.

Only seven couples can make it through to the final, where they must dance Latin and Ballroom. But first they need to impress a panel of three celebrity judges: famous dance tutor Pierre Dulaine, former child stage and screen star
Bonnie Langford, and X-Factor runner-up Ray Quinn, who was once a Junior Ballroom Champion himself.

But which of the tango-ing tots can impress the judges enough to win the prestigious trophy and be crowned the Baby Ballroom champions?
