Blue Mountain State is a hilarious football-centric comedy that tells the twisted tales of college life in a big-time mid-western college football program. Season Two finds Coach Marty Daniels under pressure to deliver a winning season after an embarrassing showing last year that has put his legacy and job security in danger. Adding to the coach’s troubles is the arrival of his contentious and meddling ex-wife Debra (Denise Richards).

Gervais talks Karl Pilkington show

Ricky Gervais has revealed details of a new show featuring his collaborator Karl Pilkington. He says Pilkington will star in the series called An Idiot Abroad which will see him visit the seven wonders of the world. Gervais said: “I think [he] is the funniest man in the world, but put him in the most uncomfortable situations you can imagine and it’s even better.”

Denise Richards joins Blue Mountain State

Denise Richards has joined the cast of the American football comedy Blue Mountain State. The actress, whose reality show It’s Complicated was axed by E! last year, will have a recurring role on the show.

Kardashian’s new reality show

One half of Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami will reportedly feature in a new reality show with her husband. Khloe Kardashian and her husband basketballer Lamar Odom are developing the new show for E! which is said to focus on their life together.

New 90210 cast member 

In more 90210 casting news, Blair Redford has landed a role on the show for next season. The actor will take up a recurring role on the teen drama as a character called Oscar.

Eric Cantona for Doctor Who?

Footballer turned actor Eric Cantona is being lined up to appear in an episode of Doctor Who. The ex-Manchester United star is close to sealing a deal with producers to appear on the show as a villain.

New female doctor for House?

House creator David Shore has said that a new female doctor may join the cast of the medical drama following the departure of several original cast members. With Jennifer Morrison (Allison) leaving permanently and Olivia Wilde (Thirteen) absent for most of next season, the door has opened for another female doctor to join.

Jane Lynch joins tween show

Glee’s Jane Lynch has been cast in Nickelodeon’s tween series iCarly. The actress will appear in just one episode on the series, but is a huge coup for the Nickelodeon series.

Blue Mountain State, produced by the people that brought you It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, follows Alex, Sammy and Craig through the ups and downs on and off the grid iron.

Alex is the talented quarterback who is more than happy to sit on the bench and party with his mascot-wannabe pal Sammy. Craig is the polar opposite – the team’s number one recruit and future pro who has his whole future planned out… thanks to his overly-controlling girlfriend. Will they be able to juggle football, girls, class and nonstop hazing?
