New Show: Blue’s Room

Nickelodeon – Friday 16 November, 9.30am

On Friday 16th November, with Moona the fairy’s help, we enter a place that was created just for Blue, a place where learning is never more than a game away, and where Blue discovers that she can TALK! Blue’s Room is a spin-off of the wildly popular children’s series Blue’s Clues and is set a special place where Blue the dog can talk to her friends and learn about the world around her. With her playroom friends, Polka Dots and Sprinkles by her side, Blue jumps into activities with a childlike playfulness, always eager to try new things. She is also not shy about her “arty” side, always ready to burst into a song and dance number!

Premiering Friday 16th November @ 9.30am and 12.30pm, the long awaited Blue’s Room comes to a TV set near you. Blue’s Room on Nick Jr (SKY Channel 41) is a spin-off of the wildly popular children’s series Blue’s Clues. Blue the dog takes us into her room where she can talk!

Blue’s Room unlocks the door to a whole new world for preschoolers, as the beloved animated puppy Blue is transformed into a loveable puppet who can now talk. Every Blue’s Room episode is the ultimate play date, as preschoolers talk, play, pretend and imagine with Blue and her playroom friends. Every playful puppet and activity in Blue’s Room is specially designed to support the show’s literacy goals, now deepened by Blue’s ability to talk with preschoolers at home.

Now the #1 show for pre-schoolers on U.S. commercial television, Blue’s Clues is a hit with kids, parents and educators alike and has drawn acclaim for its unique interactivity that has changed the way kids watch television. In Blue’s Room, early literacy skills are promoted through talking, reading, writing, pretending and playing. For example, ‘dictionary’ introduces a word of the day to be used in context, defined and sounded out; and in the ‘book nook’ preschoolers are asked to listen, reflect and analyze stories.

With Moona the fairy’s help, kids are taken into Blue’s playroom, where learning is never more than a game away. Blue and her friends Polka Dots and Sprinkles solve puzzles, play games and learn about the world around them. Objects around the playroom also join in the fun, such as Silly Seat – a comfy chair that giggles at her own knock-knock jokes, and gives big hugs with her arms. Then there is the Handy Dandy Journal who doesn’t just record ideas, he has some of his own too!

Join Blue in Blue’s Room – debuting on Nick Jr on Friday 16th November and then every Friday @ 9.30am and 12.30pm to take on adventures in reading, creativity, and communication!

Hit kids show “Blue’s Clues” has spawned a spin-off show called “Blue’s Room”. The show features Blue and her little brother Spinkles hanging out in their playroom with Joe.
