There was very little movement in the numbers from the previous week with the average audience for TV One’s Breakfast up ever so slightly to 130,214 viewers per morning between 7am and 9am.

Meanwhile, TV3’s Paul Henry bounced back from the previous weeks drop to have an average audience of 62,556 viewers per morning between 7am and 9am, a rise of 12%.

After the big increase of the previous week, Paul Henry came crashing back with a 26% drop to an average audience of 55,884 viewers between 7am and 9am.

TV One’s Breakfast was also down 11% on the previous week to an average audience of 129,511.

Both Breakfast and Paul Henry suffered 18% drops in their average audience from the previous week with TV One down to 130,527 and TV3 down to 59,484 viewers between 7am and 9am.

TV One’s Breakfast hit a new high against Paul Henry last week with the average audience for the early morning program up 6% on the previous week to 144,910 viewers per morning between 7am and 9am. While it was a great result for Breakfast, Paul Henry also enjoyed a lift from the previous week with a 4% increase to an average audience of 72,513 viewers per morning between 7am and 9am.

It was another solid week for TV3’s Paul Henry with a 14% increase on the previous week to an average audience of 69,792 viewers per morning between 7am and 9am.

Both Paul Henry and Breakfast had reasonable increases last week with TV3’s offering up 20% on the previous week to an average audience of 61,022 viewers between 7am and 9am while TV One was up 7% to 139,354.

It’s a fascinating game watching the early morning TV ratings. Paul Henry has had a pretty good run of late but the last two weeks have seem TV3’s most improved player drop from previous highs with last week down another 6% to an average audience of 50,778 viewers per morning between 7am and 9am.

The decrease could be attributed to daylight savings but TV One’s Breakfast has enjoyed the opposite results over the last two weeks with the average audience for last week holding steady at 130,113 viewers per morning between 7am and 9am.

Despite Paul Henry having his third highest rating show on Tuesday, the overall average audience for the week was down 17% on last weeks record high to 66,154 viewers between 7am and 9am.

There was also a 9% drop for Breakfast who saw their average audience down to 123,426 viewers per day between 7am and 9am.
