It’s a culinary battle for the pride of the nation as cooks from around the country compete for the title of Britain’s Best Dish. In this new series, each chef will be creating their own unique dish, and they’ll need to see off challenges from their own region and the rest of the country, to make it through. With dozens of competitors cooking one of three courses, the competition is fierce and the standard high. In the final stage, the chosen chefs will have the opportunity to cook in professional kitchens for a chance to claim a cash prize and to create the finest food Britain has to offer.

Britain’s Best Dish scours the UK in search of the nation’s best amateur chef and their tastiest signature dish. Follow the would-be chefs as they compete against each other to win the title of Britain’s best starter, main course or pudding. The heats see tough talking judges, restaurateur Ed Baines, wine expert Jilly Goolden and Michelin starred chef John Burton Race munch their way through the very best recipes Britain’s amateur cooks can serve up. The competition is fierce as they’re whittled down to three finalists who compete for the title. Each prepares their signature dish hoping they can whisk up Britain’s Best Dish.
