flightoftheconchordsOur very own Flight of the Conchords are teaming up with US comedian Dave Chappelle for a 13-date tour for the comedy website Funny or Die.

The US-only Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival – which promises to “destroy your funny bone this summer” will also include “two stages, street performers, vendors, psychics, freaks, tasty treats and more”.

The tour is the first for Chappelle since he abruptly began avoiding the spotlight back in 2005 after the success of his Comedy Central series Chappelle’s Show.

Lucas denies partnership split

Matt Lucas has denied reports his comedy partnership with fellow Little Britain and Come Fly With Meco-creator David Walliams is over. Lucas said via Twitter: “Some Tweeters assuming that because we are doing our own shows at the moment, me and Dave have split up. Sorry to tell you we haven’t!”

Hawn signs up for pilot role

Goldie Hawn has signed up for a role in a new HBO drama pilot from Sex and the City creator Darren Star called The Viagra Diaries.

Actor to reprise Transporter role

French actor Francois Berleand will reprise his role of cop Tarconi in the upcoming TV adaptation of The Transporter film trilogy. Prison Break actor Chris Vance will play Jason Statham’s role of expert driver Frank Martin.

From Comedy Central comes Chappelle’s Show, starring comedian Dave Chappelle…never seen before on NZ tv screens. The “Chappelle Show” takes Dave’s own personal joke book and brings it to life, with episodes made up of sketches, man-on-the-street pieces and pop culture parodies introduced by Dave in a stand-up format in front of a studio audience.
