Chopped

FOOD TELEVISION – Thursdays and Fridays from 10 November, 7pm

Chopped is back with Four new up-and-coming chefs compete before a panel of three expert judges taking everyday items and turning them into an extraordinary three-course meal. Course by course, the chefs will be “chopped” from the competition until only one winner remains. The challenge? They have seconds to plan and 30 minutes to cook an amazing course with the basket of mystery ingredients given to them moments before the clock starts ticking to keep them a contender in the competition, and avoid the chopping block!

FOOD TELEVISION – Wednesdays from 3 February, 8.30pm

Passion and expertise rule the kitchen on the fast-paced all new series of Chopped. Hosted by Ted Allen (Food Detectives & Queer Eye for a Straight Guy), this series challenges four up-and-coming chefs to turn a selection of everyday ingredients into an extraordinary three-course meal. After each course, a contestant gets “chopped” until the last man or woman left standing claims victory. The first episode of the series surprises all with a slippery shocker in the appetiser basket which starts things off on a terrifying note, then in the entrée round the judges are stunned by a surprising mistake one chef makes with an umeboshi-arugula salad. Good gracious, parsnips and soda crackers for dessert? The finalists have to act quickly to make it work or risk being Chopped.
