Close To Home
Friday 16 February, 9.30pm

Jennifer Finnigan stars in a new series of ‘Close To Home’ as Annabeth Chase, a young, aggressive prosecutor with a nearly perfect conviction record, who tries cases that come out of her own suburban Indianapolis neighbourhood (tonight at 9.30pm on TV ONE).

Returning to work four months after her husband was killed by a drunk driver, Annabeth is ready to take on the most difficult cases, fueled by her passion to protect her community and infant daughter. Her boss, no-nonsense lawyer Maureen Scofield (Kimberly Elise), is not afraid to push the newly-widowed Annabeth, who now faces the challenges of being a working single mother. Their new superior, Assistant District Attorney James Conlon (David James Elliott), handsome, self-assured, ambitious and fresh from New York City, is ready to make his mark. And tough, straightforward investigators Ed Williams (Cress Williams) and Ray Blackwell (Jon Seda), Conlon’s edgy, smart colleague from New York, round out the team.
The second season premiere sees Annabeth assigned to prosecute one of the most horrific crimes in Indianapolis history. She and the new team in the district attorney’s office investigate the multiple homicide, and she uses unconventional methods to determine the motive for the murder of a mother and her children in their home. Under pressure from her new boss to swiftly bring the killers to justice, Annabeth must employ new tactics to draw out a confession.
