Cold Feet

British actor James Nesbitt has been cast in a major role in Peter Jackson’s upcoming film The Hobbit.

The Northern Irish native, who is well-known for his work in top TV dramas Cold Feet and Murphy’s Law, will play a dwarf in the production which shoots in New Zealand early next year.

“James’s charm, warmth and wit are legendary as is his range as an actor in both comedic and dramatic roles,” Jackson said in a statement.

Nesbitt joins fellow Brit Martin Freeman in the film, with The former Office and Sherlock actor playing Bilbo Baggins.
