Tune in as Sophie and Katherine dodge disaster along the way and rise to the holiday challenge to create Christmas with cupcakes.

Food TV is serving up an all new series of DC Cupcakes, following sisters and business partners Sophie La’Montagne and Katherine Kallinis and the colorful crew at Georgetown Cupcake. This series promises more delicious drama. Armed with their grandmother’s recipes and “Mommy” by their side, Sophie and Katherine rise to every challenge including baking 10,000 cupcakes to be shipped to Afghanistan for the army troops, creating a giant pink bra out of cupcakes for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, catering a cupcake birthday party for two gorillas at the zoo and making a couture wedding dress out of cupcakes for DC Fashion Week. Batter will splatter and icing will fly as a peek behind-the-scenes captures the trials and tribulations of running this bustling family business.

This brand new series follows sisters and business partners Sophie LaMontagne and Katherine Kallinis as they run Georgetown Cupcake, a small cupcakery that they’ve transformed into a sweeping success! They risked their life savings and traded high-powered careers in fashion and finance to pursue their passion for baking and their lifelong dream of opening a bakery. Armed with their grandmother’s recipes and strong family support, the sisters opened Georgetown Cupcake on Valentine’s Day 2008. To their surprise, the shop became an overnight sensation and now sells more than 5,000 cupcakes a day!
