As one life ends another begins. Will the ladies of Wisteria Lane get their happy endings? It’s the dramatic series finale of Desperate Housewives: The Final Season.
Trip (Scott Bakula) begs Bree (Marcia Cross) to tell him what really happened the night of Alejandro’s (Tony Plana) murder; and Katherine Mayfair (Dana Delany) returns to Wisteria Lane, offering Lynette (Felicity Huffman) an intriguing job opportunity, which could end her chances of reconciling with Tom (Doug Savant).
Meanwhile, the women all agree to take care of Mrs McCluskey (Kathryn Joosten) when they discover that she wants to die with dignity at home; and Susan (Teri Hatcher) finds herself at her wit’s end when Julie (Andrea Bowen) goes into labour at the most inopportune time.
Across the street, Renee (Vanessa Williams) is shocked to discover that, as their wedding nears, Ben (Charles Mesure) has been arrested and thrown in jail.
Eva Longoria told the American TV Guide, that fans won’t be disappointed with the ending of the show.
“It’s that satisfying ending you want in a show that’s been running for eight years,” she said.
The show’s creator, Mark Cheery, agreed.
“There could have been a fire or a flood but we’ve done so many things like that to the lane already, I thought it would be anticlimactic.”
So perhaps the women of Wisteria Lane will get their happy ending after all?
