Dexterseason8We’re just under a week away from the eighth and final season of Dexter hitting New Zealand screens on SoHo.

The final season sees the return of Yvonne Strahovski’s Hannah McKay as well as appearances from Rhys Coiro (Entourage), Sean Patrick Flanery (Boondock Saints), Nick Gomez (The Walking Dead), Julian Sands (24) and Darri Ingolfsson (Last Resort).

SoHo will air Dexter in the same week that it goes to air in the US, starting on July 1 at 8.30pm.

Homeland executive producer Alex Gansa has hinted that the third season of the drama series may feature less of Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis). “He is the most wanted man on the planet,” Gansa explained. “By definition, he’s going to be hiding somewhere. He will team with Harry Potter director Alfonso Cuaron for a project that centres on a former convict tasked with protecting a young girl with a special gift. His other project is a futuristic series set in a world where cops are teamed with android partners.

Fellowes on Downton movie

Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes has said that if they decided to do a movie based on the show it would take place after the series has finished. Hall thinks Dexter will be caught

Dexter actor Michael C Hall has said he believes his character will “get caught” when the series comes to an end next year. “I imagine Dexter is going to get caught one way or the other,” he said. “And by that I mean, can we really expect him, at this point, to walk into the sunset? Or get off without a blemish on his conscience or character?”

Dallas to feature funeral

The second season of the revamped Dallas will address the death of actor Larry Hagman, who played the role of JR Ewing.
