DIY SOS

LIVING CHANNEL – Sundays from 14 October, 6.30pm

Nick Knowles and his trusty team return with more life-changing ‘big builds’, transforming the homes of the deserving and the desperate. This time, the DIY SOS team takes on the renovation of whole houses – even building extensions and loft conversions where possible! These are families with heartbreaking stories, and whole communities are willing to help. Of course, project managing so many workers inevitably creates tensions, drama and the odd fall-out between friends, not to mention plenty of the show’s trademark humour. Each challenge climaxes in the huge, feel-good reveal – leaving the owners looking forward to a bright new future, and resulting in a sense of genuine achievement for all involved.

LIVING – Sundays from 4 September, 8.30pm

Every home has its fair share of DIY disasters, botched jobs, abandoned tasks and things we never quite got round to starting. But now help is at hand. Nick Knowles is back for another series, as he takes a dedicated team of DIY experts around the country, encouraging those who have previously failed at DIY to develop renewed confidence with a little guidance and finish a project that they and their long-suffering partner, neighbour or parent would be proud of.

LIVING CHANNEL – Wednesdays from 15 June, 9pm

Nick Knowles and his team take on the transformation of whole houses, changing the lives of the people who live there forever. These are families in dire need and the team must enlist the help of family, friends and local trades if they are to have a hope of achieving their goal. Project managing these bigger builds is no easy task, creating tension, drama and, of course, the odd fall-out. Some of the team have known each other since childhood and their relationships, good humour and banter are intrinsic to the success of the show. Each episode climaxes in a dramatic, feel-good ending. Everyone who has helped out on the build is there as the family see their new home for the first time. It is an emotional and sometimes overwhelming moment – a celebration of days of back-breaking work, a stunning result and a community brought together for a common purpose.
