The return of 24 has been officially confirmed by Fox network president. Kiefer Sutherland has signed on to reprise his role as Jack Bauer in the 12-episode limited series titled 24: Live Another Day.

Bean keen on Game of Thrones return

Sean Bean says that even though he was killed off Game of Thrones, he would love to reprise his role if it was relevant to the books. When asked about it, he said: “I hope so. Maybe even as a zombie? DoctorWhoMattSmithThe final episode of Doctor Who has been leaked early in the US after a DVD blunder.

The episode entitled ‘The Name of the Doctor’ – which is due to air in the UK next weekend – was accidentally released early as part of the ‘Series 7 Part 2’ Blu-ray that was dispatched ahead of schedule.

Fans who had pre-ordered the boxset received it before the final two episodes had been screened on TV.

The official Doctor Who Twitter feed urged fans not to ruin it for others: “Some US DVDs of this series have gone out early. The #DoctorWho team would be hugely grateful if fans helped keep spoilers off the net.” Continue reading »

DownloadedFile.JPGNew Zealand has gained some backing from three former Doctor Who actors regarding the possibility of a locally-filmed episode.

Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy and Paul McGann are in town for the Lords of Time convention in Auckland and all three back Sir Peter Jackson to direct an episode in New Zealand.

McCoy, the Seventh Doctor, worked with Jackson on The Hobbit.

“He knows what he’s doing,” McCoy said. “If he was in charge of the budget he’d most likely want to film it on the moon and has the ability to do it. If he was using the resources of Weta they would make some amazing magic. Continue reading »

Another former Doctor Who actress will return for the show’s 50th anniversary special later this year. Jemma Redgrave, who played The Brigadier’s daughter Kate Stewart in season 7, will reprise her role alongside Matt Smith, Jenna-Louise Coleman, Billie Piper and David Tennant.
