Enlightened

10:35pm Sunday, May 27 on TV One

Enlightened is a unique blend of comedy and drama. Featuring an all-star cast, the series navigates the path of who you want to be and who you really are.

Tonight, in the season finale, after Levi goes ballistic in the middle of the night, Amy convinces him to follow in her footsteps and get treatment at Open Air.

At work, a reinvigorated Amy talks Damon into letting her present her research findings to his group, but Dougie won’t let her leave the office. Amy makes her presentation anyway and pays the price, both with Damon’s team and with Dougie.

Bristling but still battling, Amy turns to Tyler for the key to forcing change, finally, at Abaddonn.

Tonight, Amy’s hopes of landing a dream job take a hit when she’s demoted to the basement of Abaddonn, working in data entry amongst a group of social misfits.

However, the job has its perks, as she uncovers a litany of corporate improprieties while surfing the net in her downtime.

Meanwhile, Amy’s attempts to improve the lives of her ex-husband and her mother Helen fall on deaf ears.

10:30pm Sunday, March 25 on TV One

Beginning tonight on TV ONE, new series Enlightened is a unique blend of comedy and drama. Featuring an all-star cast, Enlightened is an exciting, off-beat series that navigates the path of who you want to be and who you really are.

Laura Dern (Jurassic Park) stars as Amy Jellicoe, an ambitious executive at a global conglomerate. Her self-destructive choices, both at home and at work, have resulted in a very public, humiliating, nervous breakdown.

After an extended stay at a treatment centre, Amy returns to her fractured life, determined to lead a more enlightened existence. But her newfound noble intentions only ratchet up the drama, wreaking unexpected havoc on those around her.

Also starring Luke Wilson (The Family Stone) as Amy’s drug-addicted ex-husband, and Diane Ladd (Nights in Rodanthe), Dern’s real-life mother, as Amy’s disapproving mother Helen.

“This engaging, uncomfortable series is not like anything you’ve seen before” – NY Times

“Dern is letter-perfect as Enlightened’s dented Joan of Arc.” – National TV Reviews & News

What can we expect from TV One in 2011?  Well, it appears as though the experiment of 2010 has been done away with and the edginess has gone and it’s returned to solid 25-54 programming.
