Great news for Entourage fans: the show has been renewed by HBO for a fifth season.

Created by Doug Ellin, Entourage will have debuted 54 episodes at the end of its fourth season. Drawing on the experiences of industry insiders, the hit show stars Adrian Grenier as Vince, who is enjoying life in the limelight as a hot young actor; Kevin Connolly as Eric, Vince’s manager, who tries to help him make the right choices; Kevin Dillon as Vince’s half-brother Drama, now relishing a taste of success from his new series, “Five Towns”; Jerry Ferrara as Turtle, the least savvy of the group; and Emmy winner Jeremy Piven as Ari, Vince’s aggressive, high-powered agent.

People calls the show “entertaining in the extreme,” while TV Guide terms it “ridiculously entertaining.” The Washington Post hails the show as “a seductive celebration,” and the Chicago Tribune describes it as “crackling” and “whip-smart.”

Entourage received seven Emmy nominations this year, including Outstanding Comedy Series, two for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series (Kevin Dillon, Jeremy Piven), Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series (Martin Landau), and Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series (Julian Farino). In 2006, the show won an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series (Jeremy Piven).

The second installment of the third season of Entourage returns to the US on April 8th. Eight episodes will complete the season.

The show recently received two Golden Globe nominations, for Best TV Series – Comedy or Musical and Jeremy Piven for Best Supporting Actor.

The first season screened on TV2 late 2006.

In tonight’s outstanding episode of the hit comedy Entourage, Vince prepares to farewell his friends and followers as he looks to move to New York City.

Sick of being known as “Vince’s guy,” Eric wants a title commensurate with his responsibilities. With his latest shoot taking him to New York for three months, Vince prepares to say goodbye to Los Angeles – as well as his many “special” girlfriends. Meanwhile, Drama debates taking either a high-paying television role or a low-paying film gig. And Turtle stakes out a claim as Vince’s “farewell party” promoter.
Entourage screens Friday, January 19, at 9.55pm.

Finally, the waiting for this brilliant series is over! Entourage starts Friday, November 24, 10.00pm TV2.

Entourage is the new, Emmy award-winning comedy from the producers of Sex And The City and The Sopranos, and is executive produced by Mark Wahlberg.

The series takes a look at the day-to-day life of Vince Chase (Adrian Grenier), a hot young Hollywood actor, and the entourage he’s brought to L.A. from his hometown in Queens, NY.

Manager Eric, half-brother Drama, and friend Turtle all bask in Vince’s fame, while doing their best to manage and maintain his increasingly crazy lifestyle. Vince is sexy, young, and on the cusp of superstardom, and he looks to his faithful entourage to share in the fun and to keep him grounded. Together, they experience the ups and downs of life in the fast lane of Hollywood – where the stakes are high and the money and temptations are greater than ever before.

Entourage draws on the experiences of industry insiders to illustrate both the heady excesses of today’s celebrity lifestyle, as well as the difficulty of finding love and success while on show-biz’s fast track. Adding to the authenticity of this clever satire of Hollywood lives is an impressive list of guest stars. Making cameo appearances throughout the series, as themselves, are Hollywood stars including: Jessica Alba, Luke Wilson, Sarah Silverman, Ali Larter, Jimmy Kimmel, Gary Busey and Scarlett Johansson.

Executive producer Mark Wahlberg also makes a cameo appearance in the first episode, along with his real entourage – on whom the series is loosely based – and he emphasises the term ‘loose’. Wahlberg says, “I couldn’t really do too much of my own stuff and experiences with ‘Entourage’ because I would really get into trouble if I put that on screen. I would have to kill a lot of people first!”

As we meet the boys from Entourage in the first episode, they’re living the player’s life. The crew spend most of their time relaxing at Vince’s house in the Hollywood Hills, shooting hoops, playing rooftop golf and entertaining ladies at the pool, as his latest film about to hit screens across the country. But to keep the lifestyle going, Vince has to keep making movies, and his shark of an agent, Ari (Jeremey Piven in his Emmy Award-winning role), thinks he’s found just the project. “Too busy” to read the script himself, Vince presses Eric, the only person he really trusts, for his honest appraisal. Meanwhile, Turtle and Drama are focusing on a group of hot women they’ve brought back to the house – they’re not letting business get in the way of their good time&

Finally Entourage is going to hit our screens. This HBO show is supposed to be great – although I haven’t seen an episode. The show has done three seasons in the states. Jeremy Piven won a Emmy earlier in the year for his work in the show. Hopefully it turns out to be good. Starts
