VIBE – Monday 3 December, 3.15pm

As a world-class neurosurgeon, Dr. Andrew Brown is a hero. As a father, he’s a zero. When tragedy makes Andy a single parent to his two children, he makes the first act of his new life to leave Manhattan and move his family to Everwood, the tiny Colorado town where big dreams can grow. The relationship between Andy and his talented but resentful 15-year-old son Ephram forms the heart of this acclaimed, richly layered series created by Greg Berlanti (Dawson’s Creek). Unafraid to tackle big issues, spiked with sharp humour and filled with engaging characters, Everwood is a place and a series that rewards each visit you make.

Everwood Sunday July 8, 2.05pm

Treat Williams plays a famed New York neurosurgeon who moves with his teenage son and young daughter to the idyllic mountain town of Everwood, Colorado. Season four of the popular drama, Everwood, starts on Sunday July 8 on TV2.

When Dr Andrew ‘Andy’ Brown (Treat Williams) opened a free clinic for the citizens of Everwood, popular opinion was that he had lost his mind. But that didn’t stop one local character, Edna Harper (Debra Mooney), from applying for a job as his nurse and office manager. Dr Brown’s only ongoing competition is Edna’s son, Dr Harold Abbott (Tom Amandes), who initially forbade his teenage children, Amy (Emily VanCamp) and Bright (Chris Pratt), to have anything to do with Ephram and Delia Brown (Gregory Smith and Vivienne Cardone).
However, Ephram and Amy quickly formed a close bond and the Brown family is now entrenched in Everwood. Dr Brown has become a respected member of the community, but when the stress of parenting and all his other responsibilities weigh too heavily on him, he turns to his loyal neighbour and confidant, Nina Feeney (Stephanie Niznik).

Like his Everwood character, Treat Williams moved his family from the Big Apple to a picturesque mountain town. And the similarities between Williams and his considerate father-character don’t stop there. “Oh this thing is so like my life,” he says. “It’s interesting how life and art do cross paths.”

“The character is a lot of me, but I’m not sure I’m as thoughtful. If I tried to do a monologue to one of my kids like Andy does, I’d get through maybe half a sentence and then it would be, ‘Yeah sure, dad’. On television, kids listen, but in real life kids are like, ‘I know, I know, I know’, and then you’re done. There are no monologues in life.”

In the season four premiere of Everwood, Andy declares his love for Nina, forcing her to choose between the two men she loves. At Delia’s behest, Ephram makes an emotional return to Everwood just in time for an unexpected wedding. Bright and Hannah reunite after their first kiss and a summer spent apart, and Amy and Rose realise that Rose’s cancer has driven them apart rather than brought them closer together.

Everwood returns to TV2, Sunday July 8 at 2.05pm.

Sunday January 14, 2.10pm

The final episode of the popular family drama series, Everwood – season three, screens today on TV2 at 2.10pm.

Uncharacteristically upset over this news, Dr. Abbott gives Dr. Brown a reason to stay. Meanwhile, Jake (guest star Scott Wolf) moves in with Nina, leaving Dr. Brown to question whether or not he should tell Nina about his feelings for her. And Bright finally admits to Hannah that he cares for her.
