everybody-hates-chrisOn Friday, Mediaworks was forced to pull all their Fox content from their schedules and replace it all with other shows.  This accounted for 40% of Four’s top 20 highest ratings shows.  The biggest immediate challenge was to find something for 7pm and a replacement for The Simpsons which has typically been the highest rating show of the day for Four.  Mediaworks replaced it with reruns of Everybody Hates Chris.

The Simpsons average audience on Fridays for the last 8 weeks had been 70,740 viewers per episode but the replacement only manage 34,650, a 51% drop. Continue reading »

Tonight: Rochelle decides to help tutor Chris for a math competition in algebra, when Chris doesn’t think she’s helping he turns to his grandmother Maxine for help. Tonya blackmails Drew when she takes the blame for breaking Julius’ favourite chair for Drew.

Tonight: With the end of the school year fast approaching, Chris decides to exact revenge on Caruso to pay him back for making Chris’ life miserable for the past two years. Julius insists on fixing Mr. Omar’s clogged sink himself rather than calling an expensive plumber, but he only ends up making the situation worse and is reported to the housing authority as a result. Drew can’t resist wearing his cap and gown around the house and out to play, despite Rochelle’s strict orders not to wear it before graduation.

Tonight: Doc discovers that Chris is a natural at picking the game winners, making Chris everyone’s favourite odds-maker. However, Chris’ lucky streak comes to a crashing halt when a bookie, Paulie, shows up at Chris’ front door. Meanwhile, Tonya decides it’s about time she beat Drew at checkers, and Julius goes behind Rochelle’s back and places a bet on the upcoming basketball game, not realising it’s his son – Chrissy the Black – calling the shots.

Chris must choose between his dad and a girl – Chris is put in a difficult position when he must choose between going to a baseball game with his dad and Drew and going to the movies with Tasha.

Rochelle is overcome with motherly guilt after she realizes she forgot to mail Tonya’s letter to the Billy Ocean fan club. Rochelle’s freeloading brother, Michael Earthquake, asks Vanessa on a date, but has to borrow money from Julius to pay for it.
