Every picture tells a story and this one is no different as they delve deeper into the background which holds some very dark secrets. The team travel Cape Town and Amsterdam as they try to determine whether it is a Rembrandt and search for the back story. Along the way they begin to ask the question – could this be Nazi looted art?

In this episode the team go on the trail of a painting which hides the story of one of the greatest scandals the art world has every seen. There was one particular faker in the 20th century who left all the other fakers in his dust. His name was Hans van Meegeren and he conned the art world out of around 65 million pounds in modern money. And it’s possible the picture Fiona and her team are about to see is by this master faker.
