Desperate Housewives actress Teri Hatcher has reportedly told colleagues that she is planning on ending her stint on the show following its next season. The news comes in the wake of creator Mark Cherry’s comments that beyond its ninth season, he has no further plans for the show.

Former TV Batman actor Adam West has joined the voice cast of Cartoon Network series The Super Hero Squad. West will portray the character Nighthawk alongside former Seinfeld actor John O’Hurley who voices The Grandmaster.

The cast of Glee have reached second on the all-time Billboard Hot Digital Songs chart with the number of singles charted. Glee is second to only Elvis Presley in the number of singles to hit the chart following the show’s cover of Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream on the recent episode in the US.

Grammer pilot picked up

A new Kelsey Grammer pilot has been picked up by American network Starz which will focus on the life of the Mayor of Chicago. Grammer is believed to have landed the lead role in the pilot which will be directed by Gus Van Sant.

BBC fails to stop Stig book

The BBC has failed in its bid to stop the publication and sale of an autobiography by HarperCollins which will officially unmask The Stig from Top Gear. The broadcaster’s lawyers could not prevent racing driver Ben Collins’ autobiography from going ahead which, among other things, will tell the tale of the man behind the mask since 2003.

Grammer considering Frasier return

Kelsey Grammer is reportedly considering a revival of his character Frasier Crane in a new show which would focus on the kids of the characters from the original series. Grammer tweeted that he feels a Frasier reunion is overdue and that a new spin on the show might be a good idea.

Morgan confirms CNN talks

Piers Morgan is close to sealing a deal to take up the CNN night-time slot left by vacating talk show host Larry King. Morgan has confirmed that he is “near the end of negotiations” and has labelled the chance to present a news show on CNN as “one of the holy grails of television”.

Hung renewed for third season

Comedy series Hung has been renewed from a third season by its American network HBO.

Following the sudden departure of Sunrise and ASB Business, the new early morning schedule for TV 3 will look like this:

6:30am: Campbell Live
7am: Magnum, P.I.
8am: Frasier
8:30am: Everybody Loves Raymond

TV 3 will screen a special one-hour farewell episode of Sunrise tomorrow morning at 7am. Tom Selleck and his moustache will take up the 7am slot as of Monday.
