If you loved hits like Desperate Housewives and Sex In The City then TV2’s brand new, salacious drama GCB will get your juices flowing.

Twenty years ago, Amanda Vaughn (Leslie Bibb, Iron Man) was the queen bee of Highland Park, Texas who terrorised the less attractive and less popular, but the tables turn after her husband gets busted for a Ponzi scheme and dies in dodgy circumstances, forcing Amanda to return to her hometown in disgrace.

Will the women of Highland Park welcome her with open arms … or stab her in the back? No one in Highland Park is a saint, but that doesn’t mean they can’t have a heart. As Amanda and her teenage kids try to adjust to their new reduced circumstances, the ladies of Highland Park alternate between sympathy and scheming.

GCB goes to show that you can go home again… but only if you’re ready to face the sins of your past.

Series star Bibb explains Amanda is a fish out of water and tells just how her character feels about going back to her former small, southern home-town.

“At 18 Amanda got the hell out of [Highland Park] Texas, but now she has nowhere else to go,” says Bibb. “She’s adamant about not being like her mother or the [the others]”.

Kristin Chenoweth, who plays vixen and current Queen Bee, Carlene Cockburn, explains despite her charmed life and happy marriage, Amanda’s return has her feeling desperate.

“Carlene really thinks she is something,” explains the pint-sized actress. “Carlene was the ugly duckling in high school, and Amanda made her life hell. It really bothers her that Amanda’s back in her territory.”
