Hell Roads

DISCOVERY CHANNEL – Sunday 3 June, 7.30pm

Around the globe lie eight notorious Hell Roads, each distinct in their own danger and history of accidents. Most are driven out of necessity; others are driven just for the thrill. A brave team forces an avalanche with explosives in order to keep drivers from getting trapped beneath 10 metres of snow. At 3,000 metres up, a bus driver has to decide how confident he is in risking the lives of his passengers when he comes to a narrow part of a crumbling mountainside road. If you think your commute is bad these drivers have to deal with landslides, blind turns, and even enemy gunfire every day. From the tallest mountains in China, to the deepest valleys in Utah, and everywhere in between, witness what it takes to drive, and survive, a Hell Road.
