Channel Premiere: Hijack

The History Channel – Saturday 8 September, 8.30pm

The events of 9/11 were homage to a terrorist event that took place 30 years earlier, almost to the day: the simultaneous sky-jacking of four planes bound for New York by the People’s Liberation Front for Palestine (PLFP). It was an event that would be known as ‘the blackest day’ in aviation for many years and that threatened to trigger an international crisis. Told through the personal accounts of those who survived the birth of terrorism n the skies, the negotiators and the terrorists themselves, with access to incredible archive and recently declassified documents, Hijack now tells the full story of 21 days in ‘Black September’ 1970.
