Home and Away

5:30pm – Monday, October 15 on TV 3

The consequences of Romeo’s (Luke Mitchell) steroid abuse come to a head when the Summer Bay surfer collapses before being rushed to hospital in Home and Away, screening Monday, October 15 th to Friday, October 19 th at 5:30pm on 3. This weeks unmissable Home and Away will sees Romeo, who started abusing steroids in an attempt to heal his knee injury, collapse at the beach after training “too hard”.

“Romeo is in a fragile state,” Luke Mitchell explains. “He feels a sense of being alone and he’s just not thinking straight.”

“Without him realising it, the steroids have started to have an effect on him and he’s been snapping at a few people.”

But it’s not all bad news for Romeo. While he recovers in hospital, Mitchell explains that his character will share a moment with ex-wife Indi (Samara Weaving) after confessing his love to her.

“Romeo and Indi have had a few obstacles in their marriage. I think they both want to reunite, but the timing has to be right and both of them have to be willing to give it another shot,” he says. But is the timing for this right? Find out when Home and Away screens on Monday, October 15th to Friday, October 19th at 5:30pm on 3.

This week’s unmissable Home and Away sees Casey (Lincoln Younes) knocked unconscious and kidnapped by a man named Kyle who has been spying on Casey for weeks. Home and Away screens Monday, October 8 th to Friday, October 12 th at 5:30pm on 3.

“Casey’s knocked out, when he comes to; he’s in the outback and doesn’t know what has happened to him or how long he’s been there.

“There has certainly been someone watching him for a few weeks, which audiences have seen snippets of, and the inference is that it’s related to his dad,” Lincoln Younes explains, suggesting that Kyle may somehow be related to Casey’s evil father who Casey shot dead.

“There is a big reveal,” the actor continues. “It’s a shocking revelation and Casey is obviously confused when the revelation comes out.”

“He is slowly realising the repercussions of shooting his dad have extended further than he first thought. I think Casey is realising there are bigger consequences to what he’s done – one’s he couldn’t have predicted.”

The kidnapping takes place while Casey is camping with older brother, Brax (Steve Peacocke), who at first assumes that Casey has run away to avoid his court appearance. But how will Brax react when he realises what’s really taken place? Find out when Home and Away screens Monday, October 8 th to Friday, October 12 th at 5:30pm on 3.

In an attempt to distract himself from his love life woes, last week saw Romeo (Luke Mitchell) thrown himself back into surfing – only to suffer the recurrence of a serious knee injury. But instead of going to the hospital, this week sees Romeo seeking an alternative quick fix for his injury when Home and Away screens Monday, October 1 st to Friday, October 5 th at 5:30pm on 3.

“Romeo knows what the doctors are going to say and he doesn’t want to hear it. It feels like he’s losing part of his identity if he can’t surf,” Luke Mitchell explains. “At this point he feels like he’s lost everything and surfing was the only thing that was keeping him going.”

While searching for a solution, Romeo stumbles upon steroids, which he then attempts to purchase from Heath (Dan Ewing).

“I think Heath is pretty surprised to see Romeo, the golden boy, talking to him about drugs, and is a bit apprehensive. But in the end, it doesn’t take much to persuade Heath,” Mitchell continues.

What follows, according to Mitchell, is a surprising dark turn for the “golden boy”. “You get to see a really different side of Romeo, and the steroid use affects him. He becomes a zombie, because he’s taking them.”

Following the horrifying car accident that left him with severe brain injuries, this week sees Dex (Charles Cottier) and April finally reunited when Home and Away screens Monday, September 17 th to Friday, September 21 st at 5:30pm on 3. “Dex is very distressed,” Charles Cottier explains. “He’s really vulnerable because of the brain injury and, more than anything, he just really struggles with seeing everyone around him so upset with him.”

“After brain injuries people can become quite impulsive and emotional. Dex really struggles. He doesn’t want April to have to see him like that. Obviously she’s very caring and worried about him – she hangs around his bedside every waking minute – but he doesn’t want her to see him in such a bad state.”

“It could be permanent – you can never know with brain injuries,” Cottier continues, revealing that Dex will face a very long recovery battle in the next few months.

“Some people can be remarkably better after some months, while some people take years to show any improvement. The full effects don’t wear off for a number of years.”

“Luckily, he doesn’t have too many broken bones, but the main damage for him seems to be mental – which in turn disrupts everything he does.”

“He has to learn to walk again, so it’s pretty awful. Dex may pull through, but there is a very long road ahead for him.”

But will April be joining him in this journey? Find out when Home and Away screens Monday, September 17 th to Friday, September 21 st at 5:30pm on 3.

“She’s torn between going back to what she’s good at doing, which is business and marketing, and making sure she doesn’t fall back into the trap of falling for him,” the actress adds. When Roo’s fianc, Harvey later confronts Tim over his behaviour, Roo isn’t pleased with her partner’s interference.

“If Harvey (Marcus Graham) pushes her into a corner and forces her to make a choice, she’s a pretty strong person and she wouldn’t want to be stopped from doing anything she wants to do,” Parker explains. “She likes adventure and if she feels like her options are being limited, she would do a runner. Tim’s arrival poses all these questions. Roo could be about to risk everything.”

Just as things were working out with long-time on-again, off-again girlfriend April (Rhiannon Fish), this week sees Dex (Charles Cottier) involved in a massive car accident in Home and Away, screening Monday, August 27 th to Friday, August 31 st at 5:30pm on 3. The dramatic incident will be caused by a brake problem, which results in the vehicle coming off the road and into a field.

“There’s a problem with the brakes, they seem to have disappeared – and the car careens out of control off the side of the road, flips five times and ends up upside down, pretty damaged,” Charles Cottier explains.

“It’s one of the biggest storylines that has happened since I’ve been on the show,” Cottier continues. “It affects everyone. Every character on the show is talking about it, so it affects everyone in different ways.” “There are a lot of cliff-hangers in Home and Away and you can’t compare them, but obviously Charlie’s death was out of this world and I was really involved in that one, but this one is also huge in a different way,” adds Rebecca Breeds, who plays Ruby Buckton.

“It’s completely shocking on all levels and there will be a lot of mixed responses from the fans about what happens.” Make sure not to miss this when Home and Away screens Monday, August 27 th to Friday, August 31 st at 5:30pm on 3.

Over the last couple of weeks, Home and Away has seen Casey allying himself with his father, Danny (Andy McPhee) to keep track of his unlawful moneymaking schemes.

“You see him turn up at the house and Casey opens the door and what happens from there is quite brutal,” Lincoln Younes explains of what’s to come.

“It’s a sign of how nasty Danny can be, because he backhands Casey. How flippantly he backhands Casey alludes to everything Brax has said about how dangerous Danny is.” “He’s in too deep and it’s really quite a scary storyline. Because not only is Danny possibly the worst father, because he’s manipulating and brutalising Casey, but Casey deep down would still love to connect with him.” Make sure not to miss this when Home and Away screens Monday, August 20 th to Friday, August 24 th at 5:30pm on 3.

The storyline picks up after Danny (Andy McPhee) starts to charm Ruby with the knowledge that she has access to her late mother’s inheritance money.

“Casey is quite smart and wants to keep Danny close to him and get on side with him, because if he is doing the dodgy, which he certainly shows tendencies of, then at least Casey will be on the inside,” Lincoln Younes explains.

“Danny is trying to manipulate Casey in a way that [will help him] extort Ruby for the money. Obviously Casey pulls up at this and the alarm bells are ringing.”

Casey later manages to convince older brother Brax (Steve Peacocke) that his plan to stay close to Danny will work.

But where is this plot going, a possible reunion between Casey and Ruby? “It’s quite an intense storyline,” is all Younes is saying.

“When he’s at a low point, she pounces,” adds Steve Peacocke. “He’s vulnerable and he thinks, ‘Why not?'” However, Peacocke says that the pair may begin to have “regrets” and “rethink” their actions in the following days.
