How To Live A Simple Life

LIVING CHANNEL – Saturdays from 27 November, 9.30pm

Pete Owen Jones has always been committed to frugal living. He grows his own vegetables, catches his own fish and helps out local farmers with lambing in exchange for cuts of meat. Pete’s target is to live for a year by the rules of St Francis – even if it means forsaking money entirely. There are difficult decisions to make along the way, like what happens if he needs medicine? Should he accept gifts from his parishioners? During his year, Pete visits religious and ecological communities all over Britain who give him insights into their motivations and practical tips for simple living.
