Season premiere! This fun-loving sport entertainment show is back with a refreshed line up of Jenny-May Coffin, Awen Guttenbeil, Glen Osborne and Ruben Wiki, and an array of illustrious guests from the world of sport.

Maori Television’s popular live sports entertainment show HYUNDAI CODE returns on Thursday March 18 at 8.30 PM with a refreshed line up of presenters, and a promise to bring viewers the programme’s best season yet.
No-nonsense host and current Mystics player Jenny-May Coffin is back to keep the lads in line as she and co-presenters Glen Osborne (Oz), Ruben Wiki and Awen Guttenbeil once again welcome local and international sporting personalities into the studio.
Viewers can expect more of the fun-loving essence of the show that has made it such a favourite already.
And executive producer TK Wano says new segments and changes are being brought in to keep it fresh, and there will be a new focus on grassroots sports and the people behind the scenes.
“Grassroots play of the week will encourage our viewers to send in videos and photos of the great sports plays from their home patch. We think there may be a few primo goals and tries out there some proud mums will be keen for us to see,” says Wano.
“For our new Mean Maori segment, we really want to hear about those community heroes who give their time to keep the sports clubs ticking over. It could be the mums washing the uniforms, or the aunties selling hotdogs.”
Former Kiwi and NZ Warriors player Guttenbeil moves onto the studio couch as a full-time presenter this year.  Karl Te Nana – former NZ Sevens captain, NZ Maori, and Wellington and North Harbour wing – joins his mate Oz to look at the lighter side of sport as the other half of the Brofessionals. And Wairangi Koopu returns as the show’s resident ‘Waizguy’ after a stint playing for the Melbourne Storm.
Wano predicts the new season to be tighter, and the gags will be better than every before.
“Awen is an up-and-coming sports presenter. Karl has that natural Maori male humour and it is going to be great to have Wairangi and his dry sense of humour back again,” he says.
Broadcast live each week from Maori Television’s Auckland studios or from major sports events around the country, HYUNDAI CODE has plenty of scope for viewer interaction, be it at home or in the audience, with a topic of the week up for discussion and some great prizes up for grabs.
Don’t miss out on the latest news, inside stories and behind-the-scenes action with top sports stars making headlines at home and abroad in HYUNDAI CODE – starting March 18 at 8.30 PM on Maori Television.
