From men in kilts to the local volunteer fire brigade It’s in the Bag finds huge community pride in Waipu where one lucky winner gets the prize he hoped for.

It’s been a while since we had a major entertainment show of our own in New Zealand and while Prime had a crack at this format back in 2008, this time around it’s looking like it’s going to be a much bigger deal.

Firstly, check out the list of audition venues. It’s a 14 city tour!  If you’ve ever seen an episode from the Got Talent franchise, you’ll realise that the auditions are filmed in front of a live audience.  Taking this show to the provinces like this has the potential to be massive. Almost to Cape Reinga, It’s in the Bag stops in to Te Kao. The locals show Pio and Stacey why Te Kao is one of the best little towns in NZ – the laughter, one liners and kaimoana just kept on flowing…

The iconic game show that is lighting up small town NZ returns to Maori Television next weekend.

The fourth series of It’s In The Bag premieres on Sunday 8 April at 7.00pm with Maori comedian Pio Terei and the glamorous Stacey Morrison as co-hosts.

Continuing the theme of taking the game show to the provinces, this year the bilingual adaptation of Selwyn Toogood’s television show takes the laughs to the far North, Hokianga, Waiheke Island and Taranaki regions.

Stacey says IT’S IN THE BAG is “real-deal reality TV that shows us getting back to who we really are as New Zealanders. Everyone knows what they are in for and everyone comes with their cheeky undies on, ready for a good night out.” Continue reading »
