Jack Osborne: Adrenaline Junkie

the BOX – Sundays from 9 November, 8.30pm

Rock ‘n’ roll Jack is no longer. Now fit, and with an insatiable thirst for adventure, Jack Osbourne embarks on another mission around the world in 80 days – and comes to New Zealand to take on the ultimate challenge! Jack sets off from the Osbourne’s UK mansion to brave the world’s highest bungee jump from Blourkrans Bridge in South Africa, facing a freefall of seven seconds at a speed of over 150km per hour. He travels north to the burning sands of the Sahara to take part in a 240km race through the desert, before heading to Central America to pit himself against one of the harshest environments known to man – the uncharted tropical wilderness of the Belizean jungle. Then Jack comes to New Zealand to tackle the highest commercially rafted waterfall in the world! The adrenaline adventure begins in Rotorua at a three day, intensive kayaking camp with extreme kayaking pro, Shaun Baker. At the end of his training he’ll take on the seven metre, Class 5 waterfall Tutea Falls on the Kaituna River. The team also heads south to Queenstown in search of more thrills on the Fly By Wire, the world’s fastest adventure flight. Jack moves on to Japan to explore a more spiritual aspect of his global journey, and for the final leg of his journey travels to the heart of rural India to train in the ancient art of Kushti wrestling. It’s like an action film without the stunt double!
