Well… now JONES! is bringing your favourite childhood memories back to life with a new JONES! Junior block of retro cartoon programmes.

JONES! Junior will screen every weekend morning from 27 September at 6am, on JONES!

jones-channel-logoToday marks the launch of Sky TV’s new “good old days” channel Jones!.

Sky described the channel in their press release in March as offering “an affectionate homage to television’s finest moments with an eclectic mix of programming favourites from a time where innocent first screen crushes were made and friendships lasted a lifetime.”

It won’t be for everyone but if you’ve got a soft spot for a few classics such as Cheers, Dad’s Army, Happy Days, MacGyver etc then no doubt you’ll find something worth watching every now and again.

jones-channel-logoThis week Sky released the first batch of highlights for their new channel Jones!.

As we posted earlier this month, the channel celebrates the shows of days gone by so if you’re over a certain age the following line-up will certainly feature a few familiar titles.

The May line-up features crime classics such as the Telly Savalas-starring Kojak, cop drama T.J. Hooker featuring William Shatner, Columbo and gritty British series The Sweeney.

If you’re a fan of classic British comedy then Dad’s Army and It Ain’t Half Hot Mum can be seen every weeknight between 7pm and 8pm starting May 13. The first season of Porridge also appears. Continue reading »
