TV3’s 25th birthday is a huge occasion. In honour of this, Jono, Ben, Guy and Rose have been allowed an extra 30 minutes of airtime and an earlier slot for their extravaganza Jono and Ben Celebrate TV3’s 1/2 Half Century, which screens this Friday 21 November at 7.30pm.

MediaWorks NZ and Heineken have won Silver at The BEFest Awards, held in Sydney as part of the prestigious Festival of Content Marketing and Branded Entertainment. MediaWorks was the only New Zealand company to take home an award, and were recognised in the Best Sponsorship or Product Integration for their 2014 Heineken ‘Road to the Final’ campaign, which featured Radio and TV stars Jono and Ben.

The Heineken New Zealand brief was to develop a campaign around Heineken’s global sponsorship of the UEFA Champion’s League (UCL), the world’s most prestigious club football competition, but not an event that resonates strongly in New Zealand. Continue reading »

Jono and Ben at Ten and The Rock are bringing 90s rap icon Vanilla Ice to New Zealand for a one-off concert at Auckland’s Powerstation on Friday 24th October, thanks to V’s ‘Give it a V’ campaign.

“The ‘Give it a V’ campaign is about opening up to consumers and clearly showing them what it actually means to give something a V,” says Luke Rive, Energy Category Manager at Frucor. “Take the ordinary, everyday, and set about making it awesome.” The energy drink has already given a V to darts, art, even photo-bombing!

Jono Pryor and Ben Boyce asked the nation what they’d like to see ‘get a V’ and they answered with the now infamous Ice Bucket Challenge. Jono and Ben plan to deliver the ultimate Ice Bucket Challenge by bringing the Iceman himself – Vanilla Ice – out to New Zealand. Continue reading »

The 7 Days and Jono and Ben at Ten (JABAT) comedians are running their own version of election coverage, with a schedule of entertainment and comedy across TV3, Kiwi FM, the web and social media this Friday and Saturday under the banner DERISION ’14.

7 Days Producer, Jon Bridges says the DERISION ’14 activity is complementary to TV3’s Election Night coverage.

“Elections are important, and TV3 always has the best people and the best pictures on Election Night… but sometimes you just want a bit more fun, a bit more comedy,” he says. Continue reading »

You might recall last week that there was a photo circulating of Jono and Ben at The Graham Norton Show. As it turns out, they got to feature in the infamous Red Chair.

It was bound to happen. Mediaworks have put the successful pairing of Jono Pryor and Ben Boyce to good use and given them the drive show on The Rock.  I bet Guy Williams is already planning his revenge for this then.

Jono and Ben at Ten fans can now enjoy their favourite TV pranksters five days a week with Ben Boyce joining Jono Pryor to co-host of THE ROCK Drive.  The new Drive show starts late April.

Boyce spent six months co-hosting THE ROCK’s Night Show in 2004/2005 and is looking forward to returning to radio alongside his best mate. Continue reading »
