Look at moi! Look at moi! Look at Shane Warne!

Sunday, November 25th at 7:30pm on 3

Kath & Kim are joined by cricketing legend Shane Warne as they bid adieu from Fountain Lakes for another year on Sunday, November 25th at 7:30pm on 3.

Yes, Sharon’s (Magda Szubanski) lifelong dreams have come true as she finally, finally gets her chance with her hero and love crush Shane “Warnie” Warne.

She may not be as much of a looker as Warnie’s previous wife Simone, but Sharon will adore Warnie until the day he parts as the unlikely couple prepare to say “I do” on the hit show.

But will Kim (Gina Riley) let her second best friend Sharon have her wildest dream come true, or will she stay true to form and try and make the day her own? It wouldn’t be Kath & Kim if Kim didn’t try the latter and aim to steal Warnie for herself.

As Kim told The Daily Telegraph, “It’s a dream come true – for Shane that is.”

She went on to say “Shane’s really lucky to have met a couple of Foxymorons like us.”

The appearance of Shane Warne caps of another hugely successful series for Gina Riley and partner Jane Turner, who plays Kath. With huge ratings both in Australia and New Zealand, as well as guest stars like Little Britain’s Matt Lucas and David Walliams, it’s no wonder the Yanks want to develop the series for themselves.

Turner and Riley are working with US executives on the American version of the show, and are expected to fly over in July when production is believed to begin on the series.

Tune in for the final of Kath & Kim as Shane Warne bags yet another of Australia’s foxiest ladies, screening Sunday, November 25th at 7:30pm on 3.

Some television moments are made in comedy heaven and this is one of them, Matt Lucas (Little Britain) will be making a legendary guest appearance in the smash hit comedy series Kath & Kim, screening Sunday, November 11th at 7:30pm on 3.

The show, a huge hit both in New Zealand and Australia, was launched in Britain in 2005 with a resounding applause from the general audience when 1.6 million people tuned in to watch the premiere episode.

Kath and Kim

Lucas, a huge fan of the series, filmed his guest role, for which he had to dress in drag, when he toured Australia with his Little Britain comedy partner David Walliams earlier this year.

Lucas is perhaps best known for his acclaimed work with David Walliams in the hit television sketch show.

Little Britain plays heavily on memorable catchphrases which have become ingrained in playgrounds and offices around the UK. Lucas plays, among many others, four of the most popular characters in the series, which he writes and acts in along with David Walliams.

In May 2007, Lucas was placed eighth in the list of the one hundred most influential gay people in Britain, in fields as diverse as entertainment, business, politics, and science, by the British newspaper The Independent.

In this episode entitled “Roots” Kel (Glenn Robbins) is desperate to find out if he’s a nob with noble blood. The search into his family history leads Kath to find her own family skeleton in her closet and Sharon discovers a long lost sister, Karen (Matt Lucas). It seems that this sister takes after Sharon in the eating department and with that much hilarity ensues!

Kath & Kim recently made their own guest appearance on Matt and David’s documentary about their Aussie tour on Little Britain Live.

Don’t miss this hilarious guest appearance from Little Britain’s Matt Lucas in this week’s Kath & Kim, screening Sunday, November 11th at 7:30pm on 3.

Series four builds on a stellar cast of cameo appearances, which in the past have included Kylie Minogue, Rachel Griffiths, Geoffrey Rush, Michael Buble and Barry Humphries.

This season Kath & Kim will introduce characters played by cricketing legend, and Sharon’s dream man, Shane Warne; Little Britain’s Matt Lucas; Hollywood hero Eric Bana; and Australian funnyman Rob Sitch.

The foxy ladies from Fountain Court return to 3!
Thursday, 14th December at 7:30pm

Look at throy! The foxy ladies from Fountain Court are back on 3 for a repeat performance of their Award-winning series Kath & Kim. The hilarious comedy will begin on Thursday, 14th December at 7:30pm.

Starring Gina Riley as Pussybum Princess Kim and Jane Turner as her foxy mother, Kath, Kath & Kim tells the story of a mother and daughter – suburban nightmares living the suburban dream.
It will be an action-packed series as Kath deals with the return of her ex-husband, Kim deals with motherhood and the Kel (Glenn Robbins), Sharon (Magda Szubanski) and Brett (Peter Rowsthorn) deal with – well, they just have to deal with Kath and Kim.
Despite the fact that we haven’t heard much from our favourite Aussie girls since their Christmas special last year, 2006 has been extra busy for Riley and Turner.
They have recently confirmed that they are currently writing for another series of the hit show which should be seen on our screens sometime next year. They have also confirmed that they have signed on at least one important guest star – Little Britain creator and actor, Matt Lucas.
I don’t know what I’ll be doing yet,” Lucas told The Sun newspaper recently. “There was some possible suggestion that I would play a member of their family, an English cousin or something. I can’t wait. It’s going to be very exciting.”
It has also recently been confirmed that NBC has gone into negotiations with the duo and hopes that they will be able to assist with an American version of the show that, if successful, would also screen later next year.
And just recently, Kath and Kim were on hand to help the Lord Mayor of Melbourne, John So present Dame Edna Everage with keys to the city after 50 years of service to the city.
Although Kath and Kim thoroughly enjoyed their time with the Australian icon, Dame Edna had other opinions of the pair.
“They seem delightful, if not a little C.O.M.M.O.N,” Everage told the press who attended the event. “Actually, they are very C.O.M.M.O.N or as my mother would say, ordinary.”
Don’t miss the return of the foxy ladies from Fountain Court! Kath & Kim is back on 3 from Thursday, 14th December at 7:30pm.

Australian comedy hit Kath & Kim looks set to hit American television screens. Like The Office, the show will be re-done with American actors.
