7:00pm Saturday, November 19 on TV One

Meet the Joneses: an ordinary family living extraordinary lives at a vast cattle property called Coolibah in the heart of Australia’s top end.

In the special one-hour premiere episode of Keeping Up With The Joneses, the Joneses are all involved in the busiest muster of the season. Milton leads his team of chopper pilots in the air, while his wife Cristina rounds up the strays on horseback.

When the wet season hits, Coolibah becomes an island cut off by a river full of deadly crocodiles. Milton sets a trap to catch a rogue croc menacing the crossing. He then heads out on a nail biting expedition to collect eggs….crocodile eggs. It’s a form of population control and a way to make money during the wet season. This is one of the most dangerous jobs in Australia. And Milton loves it.

Back at Coolibah, Cristina has her own problems to sort out. The new workforce will arrive as soon as the river is down. But the cook has done a runner. So who’s going to feed the 30 carnivores who are about to turn up for the start of the new mustering season?

The new pilot arrives, and it looks like he’s walked straight out of the surf. Jeff’s a Sunshine Coast rookie with a lot of confidence but little idea about how to survive on a working cattle station. He wants to fly. But first he’ll have to crawl.

Little Milton is a chip off the old man’s block. Dad’s giving him a driving lesson, and he’s still only three. Tomorrow is Milton’s fourth birthday and you will not believe the living, breathing present he is about to receive!
