CRIMINAL INTENT

Nicholson teams up with Noth in the new series

Monday, June 18th at 8:30pm

Detective Mike Logan (Chris Noth) has a new partner – Detective Megan Wheeler (Julianne Nicholson) in the brand new series of 3’s hit crime-drama Criminal Intent, screening Monday, June 18th at 8:30pm.

Created and executive produced by Emmy-winning producer Dick Wolf, the show veers from the traditional format by taking viewers into the minds of its criminals while following the psychological approaches the Major Case Squad uses to solve the crimes.

Detective Wheeler replaces Detective Carolyn Barek, and so far things seem to be going along just swimmingly, according to Nicholson.

“He knows his character so well, [and] he knows the show so well, that I think he just instinctually has this amazing sense of just the very small things that could otherwise go missed or unnoticed. He is very good at it and he’s hilarious and irreverent and really makes me laugh.”

The 35-year-old American actress has previous television experience in the form of E.R., Ally McBeal and the original Law & Order, where she was noticed by producer Dick Wolf.

“I did do an episode of the original Law & Order about five years ago, which was thrilling because as a New York actor you really don’t feel like you’ve made it until you’ve done at least one of the Law & Orders.”

Noth and Nicholson take every second week on screen, alternating with Vincent d’Onofrio (Detective Robert Goren) and Kathryn Erbe (Detective Alexandra Eames), after d’Onofrio collapsed on the Criminal Intent set a couple of seasons ago from severe exhaustion.

He agreed to stay on but only if the producers came up with a way to reduce his work load, which they did.

In the first episode of the new season, detectives Goren (Vincent D’Onofrio) and Eames (Kathryn Erbe) question a jealous ex-boyfriend when the body of a former Ambassador’s daughter is found brutally murdered in her uptown home.

Tune in to the brand new sixth series of 3’s intelligent crime-drama Criminal Intent, screening Monday, June 18th at 8:30pm.
