From the world famous Hammersmith Apollo in London, the Bafta-nominated Live at the Apollo showcases a range of comedic talents, with a variety of different styles.

Comedian Alan Carr will have you in stitches along with fellow funny-men Andi Osho and Patrick Kielty.

More world class stand-up from the world-famous Hammersmith Apollo Theatre tonight as Live at the Apollo wraps up for the season.

Lee Mack, famous for hosting his own show Lee Mack’s All Star Cast and for being a team captain on Would I Lie to You? will be introducing sets from American comic Rich Hall and Scotland’s Danny Bhoy.

Rich Hall has appeared several times on talk shows such as The Late Show with David Letterman and Late Night with Conan O’Brien. The Simspons creator Matt Groening has also said that Hall was the inspiration for bartender Moe Szyslak.

Danny Bhoy is an Indian-Scottish comedian who has performed several times in New Zealand, and has also appeared on shows such as The Late Show with David Letterman and closer to home, Rove Live. Early last year, his show Messenger (Please Do Not Shoot) sold out at both the Brisbane and Melbourne Comedy Festivals.

Set in front of a live audience at the iconic Apollo Theatre in Hammersmith, Live at the Apollo continues tonight on TV2.

Each week the series showcases world-class comedians at this world-class venue, and tonight is no different. Known for his brand of dark, surreal humour, tonight’s host is Sean Lock, famous for hosting his own entertainment TV show called TV Heaven, Telly Hell and appearing in shows such as Have I Got News For You.

Lock will be introducing Liverpudlian John Bishop, who has featured on hit shows such as Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and Would I Lie to You?

There’s more world-class stand-up comedy from a world-class stand up venue as Live at the Apollo continues tonight on TV2.

Tonight’s host will be Stephen K. Amos, a British comedian who has travelled the world with his talent, even winning the award for Best International Comedian when he came to the New Zealand International Comedy Festival in 2007.

He will introduce the brilliant Jon Richardson, who will share his thoughts on grabbing a breast, and London’s own Micky Flanagan (who has featured on Michael McIntrye’s Comedy Roadshow), performing in front of a 3,500 strong audience.

It’s more stand-up comedy genius from the world-famous Hammersmith Apollo when Live at the Apollo screens tonight on TV2.

This evening’s host is Irish comedian Dara O Briain, a man who The Evening Standard noted that “if you don’t laugh at O Briain, check your pulse, you must be dead.” O Briain’s CV includes hosting and appearing in The Panel, Mock of the Week, and Have I Got News For You.

He will be introducing sets from Inbetweeners and Fast & Loose star Greg Davies and Canadian one-liner specialist Stewart Francis.

Live from the world famous Hammersmith Apollo in London, tonight the Bafta-nominated Live at the Apollo begins on TV2.

Showcasing a range of comedic talents, with a variety of different styles, each episode features a different host, who performs a special set before introducing some of the finest comedians on today’s circuit, and this series is no exception.

Tonight, Scottish comic and anecdote king Kevin Bridges (who has featured on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow) will present sets from Edinburgh Comedy Awards 2009 Best Newcomer, Jack Whitehall and Iranian-born Shappi Khorsandi, who has also featured on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, as well as Friday Night with Jonathan Ross.

With guaranteed laughs from an audience seated in an iconic venue, there’s never a dull moment with Live at the Apollo.
