Miami Animal Police

Animal Planet – Mondays to Thursdays from 9 June, 8.30pm

Miami, Florida is a sunshine paradise of golden beaches and bronzed bodies. To the officers of the non-profit Miami Dade Animal Services Unit, Miami is an urban jungle. Home to some 20 million animals ranging from dangerous dogs to gators on the freeway and neglected pets to exotic threats, the Unit’s 20 Animal Control Officers receive over 150 calls each day. They patrol 2000 square miles from South Beach to the Everglades Swamps protecting and investigating animal welfare. It’s their job to rescue the victims and punish the perpetrators. Meet the Miami Animal Police.
