Gleeson teases third Game of Thrones season

Game of Thrones actor Jack Gleeson has promised that his character Joffrey will be “as evil as he ever was” in the new season of the show. “I think he’s as evil as he ever was but he’s channeling it through a different means,” Gleeson told Entertainment Weekly. “There’s a different dynamic – he’s trying to impress Margaery with his evil deeds and he’s still rebelling against his mother.” Continue reading »

TV ONE series Miranda is a comedy/drama based on the semi-autobiographical writings of actress Miranda Hart (Not Going Out).

Miranda (Hart) isn’t your average girly girl and she seems to be a constant disappointment to her mother Penny (Patricia Hodge) who keeps trying to set her up with potential suitors, regardless of whether they are actually related to Miranda or not. At six foot one tall , Miranda gets called ‘Sir’ once too often, much to the amusement of her childhood friend Stevie (Sarah Hadland), who manages Miranda’s joke shop.

Miranda bumps into an old friend from university, Gary(Tom Ellis) who is working in the restaurant next door as the new chef. When he asks her out for a drink to catch up, she gets over-excited by the prospect of her first real date and decides it’s time to try to be more girly. She goes shopping for a new outfit to impress Gary, but her make-over doesn’t quite go to plan.

Miranda Hart comments: “Since I can remember I have wanted to be a comedian and so to have my own show is a total thrill, albeit slightly unnerving!

“Comedy is such an important part of my life; if I hadn’t had people like French and Saunders, Morecambe and Wise and Joyce Grenfell to watch, my life would have been a much duller place and so to be a part of this wonderful industry is a real blessing – I can’t believe my luck.”

Guest stars on Miranda include Peter Davison ( Doctor Who), as Miranda’s old French teacher, Adrian Scarborough (Gavin And Stacey), Luke Pasquilino (Skins), Alex Macqueen (The Thick Of It) and Katy Wix (Not Going Out).
