Mister Eleven

8:30pm Saturday, August 15 on TV One

Women in the United Kingdom will on average settle down and marry their eleventh sexual partner. But does Mr Eleven equal Mr Right?

Mr Eleven stars Michelle Ryan (Bionic Woman) opposite Sean Maguire (EastEnders) and Adam Garcia (Bootmen) in a love triangle driven by one woman’s obsession with numbers and statistics (tonight at 8.30pm on TV ONE).

Teacher Saz Paley’s (Ryan) love life is driven not by her heart, but by an obsession with numbers. On her wedding day Saz couldn’t be more certain that she has found the love of her life. Her husband is heart-throb, Accident and Emergency doctor and all round Mr Perfect, Dan (Maguire). Better than that, he is Mr Statistically Right – Mr Eleven. That is until she finds out that Mr Eleven is actually Mr Ten.

A sexual conquest she had counted in her list of lovers is revealed to be a near miss – and the news breaks on her wedding day. Handsome Aussie Alex (Garcia) turns up unexpectedly as an old friend’s ‘plus one’.

Alex was Saz’s Mr Nine. Until he confesses that she passed out before the deed was done. He’s Mr Nearly. Dan has just dropped from Mr Eleven to Mr Ten. Saz goes into freefall, and reflects on Mr One through to Eight as both Dan and Alex wait to see if the course of true love can outsmart the statistics. Mister Eleven also stars Lynda Bellingham (The Bill), Olivia Coleman (Green Wing) and Denis Lawson (Bleak House).

ITV’s Victoria Fea, says Mister Eleven written by Amanda Coe, who was a writer on Shameless, was the perfect opportunity to get two of Britain’s most exciting young Hollywood converts to take part in a classically British love story, supported by a cast of favourite British TV faces.
