Gleeson teases third Game of Thrones season

Game of Thrones actor Jack Gleeson has promised that his character Joffrey will be “as evil as he ever was” in the new season of the show. “I think he’s as evil as he ever was but he’s channeling it through a different means,” Gleeson told Entertainment Weekly. “There’s a different dynamic – he’s trying to impress Margaery with his evil deeds and he’s still rebelling against his mother.” Continue reading »

Homeland and Modern Family lead SAG Awards nominations

Homeland and Modern Family have dominated the drama and comedy categories for the 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards. Both Damian Lewis and Claire Danes were nominated for individual awards for Homeland while Modern Family received four nods in the comedy categories.

Ice-T confirms 30 Rock role

Hall thinks Dexter will be caught

Dexter actor Michael C Hall has said he believes his character will “get caught” when the series comes to an end next year. “I imagine Dexter is going to get caught one way or the other,” he said. “And by that I mean, can we really expect him, at this point, to walk into the sunset? Or get off without a blemish on his conscience or character?”

Dallas to feature funeral

The second season of the revamped Dallas will address the death of actor Larry Hagman, who played the role of JR Ewing. Hagman had filmed several episodes of the second season before he died in November and it has been decided that the eighth episode of the season will feature JR’s funeral. Continue reading »

Banks returning to Modern Family

Elizabeth Banks will reprise her role on Modern Family’s fourth season. The actress originally made an appearance in the show’s first season as a hard-partying friend of Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Cam (Eric Stonestreet).

Alexander to guest on Community

Burrell sells new comedy

Modern Family actor Ty Burrell has sold a new autobiographical comedy pilot to the ABC network. Burrell is developing the project, which focusses on two city families who buy a general store in a small Oregon community, with his younger brother Duncan.

Tension between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey on Idol

At the first American Idol taping in New York City on Sunday, things reportedly got a little heated between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj, as they tried to outdo each other. According to website TMZ, when Nicki would start to critique a contestant, Mariah would continually butt in with her thoughts, then when Mariah had her turn to critique someone, Nicki would in turn start talking over the top of Mariah as loudly as possible. Both Nicki and Mariah have laughed off claims of a feud, however. Should be an interesting season!
