The British actor, known for playing Ron Weasley in the film franchise, has picke dup the lead role in superhero comedy Super Clyde.

Warner Horizon is going ahead with a new fantasy series called Red Brick Road that will continue the story of The Wizard of Oz with additional violence, politics and death added for good measure.

He will team with Harry Potter director Alfonso Cuaron for a project that centres on a former convict tasked with protecting a young girl with a special gift. His other project is a futuristic series set in a world where cops are teamed with android partners.

Fellowes on Downton movie

Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes has said that if they decided to do a movie based on the show it would take place after the series has finished. Some of Jessica Simpson’s music may be laughable but is her life really all that funny?

The NBC network certainly thinks so given they are basing a semi-autobiographical sitcom around the singer and Fashion Star judge.

The network has begun developing the yet-to-be-named sitcom with Robin and Nick Bakay, the comedy geniuses behind Paul Blart: Mall Cop. Hmmm…

Matt Damon will make a guest appearance in the Don Cheadle comedy series House of Lies. The actor will play a version of himself in an episode of the show’s second season.

Recurring role for Murphy

Eddie Murphy is likely to play a recurring role in the new Beverly Hills Cop TV series. The series will be fronted by Brandon T Jackson, who will play the son of Murphy’s original character Axel Foley. “He’s in the pilot and he said he wants to come back multiple times during the first order [of episodes],” CBS president Nina Tassler.
