Reaper

3:00pm Saturday, September 25 on TV2

In the new season premiere of Reaper, Sam (Bret Harrison) returns from a road trip with Sock (Tyler Labine) and Ben (Rick Gonzalez) hoping to make things right with Andi (Missy Peregrym).

However, when the guys return they discover they’ve been fired from the Work Bench and evicted from their apartment. With nowhere else to go, they head to Sock’s house only to find a strange girl (Eriko Tamura) living there.

Meanwhile, Andi refuses to talk to Sam and The Devil (Ray Wise) is back with a new assignment.

3:00pm Saturday, May 1 on TV2

A listless man discovers that his soul is owned by Satan, and he’s about to call in the debt, in the TV2 premiere of the wry comedy drama, Reaper.

Sam (Bret Harrison, Grounded For Life) has had an easy life for the first 20 years. Whether it was school, sports or career choices, Sam’s parents always let him get by with the least possible effort. As a result, Sam skipped college, took a dead-end job at the local home improvement store and now wastes endless hours playing video games. However, everything in his slacker world changed the day Sam turned 21 and discovered the ungodly reason his parents let him slide: they sold his soul to the devil before he was even born.

When Satan himself (Ray Wise, The Closer) drops by to personally explain that Sam must now serve as his bounty hunter, tracking down evil souls that have escaped to return them to Hell, Sam refuses to accept his bizarre fate. However, after getting just a glimpse of Satan’s temper, Sam realises that breaking a deal with the devil has consequences that are very, very bad.

Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on this. TV2 have apparently had the rights to play Reaper since 2007 (as per this blog post on Throng), but they have yet to play it. I contacted TVNZ about 6 months ago regarding this, and they simply said they couldn’t say anything about it because it wasn’t within the usual 2 weeks of schedules they put out.

Has anyone got any idea on when it’s going to play?
