Just a regular spring on the Chatsworth! Starring David Threlfall, Elliot Tittensor, Tina Malone, Aaron McCusker, Rebecca Atkinson, Ciaran Griffiths, Nicky Evans and Sally Carman.

Meester labels Gossip Girl “tedious”

Gossip Girl actress Leighton Meester says she believes the drama is ending at the right time, as it is becoming “sort of tedious”. “I think it’s ending at a beautiful, perfect time,” Meester told Vulture. “But it’s [also] because our contracts are up. I don’t think anyone wants to stay after their contracts.”

There’s never a dull moment when the crazy, dysfunctional Gallagher clan returns for a brand new season of Shameless.

Last year, Frank (William H Macy, Fargo) went missing, tried without success to embrace sobriety and bent the law to protect his disability cheques. His eldest daughter Fiona (Emmy Rossum) fell for Steve (Justin Chatwin), a handsome player with a nice car and a big secret. Ian (Cameron Monaghan) embraced his sexuality and the kids’ mum showed up to announce she’s taking back baby Liam (Blake Alexander Johnson).

This season, Fiona is set on partying away her heartache with her new friend Jasmine (Amy Smart, The Lincoln Lawyer); after breaking up with Steve with.

Meanwhile, at the Gallagher house, Debbie (Emma Kenney) is running a day-care with Carl (Ethan Cutkosky); Ian takes over at the ‘Kash and Grab’ shop when Kash (Pej Vahdat) leaves town, and Frank loses a bet and surrenders baby Liam as collateral to a very angry man named ‘Baby’ (Marcus Brown).

UKTV – Thursdays from 12 July, 9.20pm

Fake weddings, stolen cars and worrying medical news keep TV’s most dysfunctional family busy in Shameless, tonight.

Eldest daughter Fiona (Golden Globe-nominee Emily Rossum, The Phantom of the Opera) is still trying to keep the cast of misfits, criminals and substance abusers together, and so when she hears Veronica (Shanola Hampton) is going ahead with her marriage to Kevin (Steve Howey), who is in fact already married, she tries to shut it down. But when she hears that Veronica’s mother is prepared to offer a very generous cash gift as a wedding day incentive, she and the other Gallagher’s start planning the (fake) wedding of the year.

With Steve (Justin Chatwin) trying to steal the perfect Lexus and Frank (Academy Award-nominee William H Macy, Fargo) spiralling out of control upon discovering he has a tumor, Fiona has her hands more than full.

11:00pm Monday, November 14 on TV2

The fabulously dysfunctional Gallagher family are back to rock-the-boat in TV2’s outrageous new comedy, Shameless.

Meet the Gallaghers: – Dad, Frank (William H Macy, ER, Pleasantville) is a drunk and Mum split long ago. Now it’s up to Frank’s eldest daughter Fiona (Emmy Rossum) to hold the family together despite the fact her crazy family makes it near impossible.

Eldest son Philip aka Lip (Jeremy Alllen White) tutors the neighbourhood girls in physics and is repaid in kind; middle-son Ian (Cameron Monaghan) is grappling with homosexuality; youngest daughter Debbie (Emma Kenney) is stealing money from her UNICEF collection to help put food on the table; 10-year-old Carl (Ethan Kutkosky) is a budding sociopath and arsonist; and toddler Liam (Blake and Brennan Johnson) is – well, he might actually be black, but nobody has a clue how.

Meanwhile, the electricity bill is due, there’s no money, and someone has to look after the baby…

Tonight, drunk as a skunk, Frank has a run in with Karen Jackson’s (Laura Wiggins) father and returns home to take it out on Ian. The next day Frank is nowhere to be found, which is a bit odd since he never misses disability cheque day.

As the family start a manhunt, panic sets in when a body is found near by. But when Frank turns up in Toronto – with no passport and no clue as to how he got there – it’s up to Steve (Justin Chatwin) to figure out how to get him back to Chicago.
