So You Think You Can Dance

Glee’s Harry Shum Jr. and So You Think You Can Dance’s Stephen “tWitch” Boss have paired up in a short film that hit the internet this week.

The talented pair are a part of ‘3 Minutes’, a short film by up-and-coming American director Ross Ching, which is described as an “exciting, non-stop action thriller”.

The film, not surprisingly, is just three minutes in length and also features a cameo from Spartacus: Blood and Sand actress Katrina Law.

What crazy planning – putting American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance on not on only the same 2 nights – but the same times!

I love both these shows, and have to record one. If I go out I’ll have to miss one.:(

Both the same type of show, how utterly stupid putting them on in competition with each other.

Only hope the producers of 2 and 3 look at this and one of them decide to put their show on at a more suitable time, so both can be watched instead of trying to split the viewers.

After ten gruelling weeks of literal blood, sweat and tears, America’s favourite dancer is crowned in the season finale of So You Think You Can Dance on Saturday, December 23rd at 7:30pm on 3.

This intense competition has showed what all of these dancers are really made of. Some have collapsed under the pressure, others have revealed their two left feet, but only one has danced his or her way into America’s heart.

Along the way, they have been judged by one of the UK’s most respected television talents – Nigel Lythgoe, who has stepped in to executive produce and judge the best undiscovered dancing talent that America has to offer.

56-year-old Lythgoe has held no reservations about his rough treatment of the contestants on So You Think You Can Dance.

“If you came to me in a professional audition, I’d be tough. I was a lot tougher as a choreographer than I am as a judge on this show!”

Lythgoe and his fellow judges have slowly eliminated America’s finest dancers down to just a few, and on Saturday, December 23rd at 7:30pm on 3 we will find out who will be crowned the champion of So You Think You Can Dance.

We watched the NZ version of So You think You Can Dance – and now we can see the American version on Saturdays at 7.30 on TV3.

The final group have now been selected by the instructers/judges.
Included is the big guy who didn’t think he had much chance, even though the ballroom instructer said he was like an elephant when dancing.
Also the cocky guy was very lucky to be included after running down a particular instructer/judge and saying he though he was better, etc. None of them were impressed with his attitude.

Looking forward to seeing the various dances in the coming weeks.
The NZ series showed us some fantastic dancing, expecting this to do the same!
