This show follows renowned Chilean novelist Isabel Allende whose first and most famous novel was The House Of The Spirits. This film explores her relationship with her homeland, and the effect her upbringing and exile has had on her writing.

The world famous Mariinsky Theatre celebrates its 225th anniversary in 2009. This sumptuous documentary of the St Petersburg theatre – known for many years as the Kirov – provides a unique insight into how the arts have flourished in Russia under so many different regimes. Award-winning director Margy Kinmonth has incredible access to the artists, the labyrinthine underground passages full of extraordinary props, scenery and costumes and to a treasure trove of archive material seen for the first time on screen.
