‘Captain Hook’ to be series regular on Once Upon A Time
Producers of Once Upon A Time have upgraded Colin O’Donoghue, who plays Captain Hook on the show, to series regular, before his character’s first episode has even aired in the US. His first episode is called ‘The Crocodile’.

Now in its 16th season, South Park continues to surprise even its most devoted fans each and every week. Fast tracked to New Zealand TV from the US, this series is only just off the pace of the US screening. Known for its unbelievably immediate and ruthless responses to world events, South Park’s new episodes bring up-to-the-minute news and pop culture icons (including Al Gore, J. Lo, Oprah, Sir Elton John, Tom Cruise, John Travolta, and P. Diddy) to the town of South Park for social commentary and good old-fashioned ridicule.

That wacky grade-school quartet of South Park will be stirring up trouble on a whole new day of the week when all new episodes of South Park come to Sundays, premiering on Sunday, October 7 th at 9pm on FOUR. Currently in its 15 th season, this year will see South Park creators – Trey Parker and Matt Stone – continue to tackle topical humour as writers, directors and editors of the series, just as they have since South Park started in 1997.

“The collective genius of Matt and Trey knows no bounds,” says South Park production house President, Michele Ganeless. “Week after week and season after season they continue to surprise and delight South Park fans.”

Make sure not to miss the first of these surprises when all new episodes of South Park return to our screens on Sunday, October 7 th at 9pm on FOUR.

Hulk TV series planned

A Hulk TV series is in development according to ABC president Paul Lee. The adaptation of the Marvel comic in being planned for release in 2013.

Harold & Kumar animated series to be developed

An animated series based on the Harold & Kumar films is on the cards at Adult Swim. The channel announced plans to develop the show alongside the films’ producers Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg. Continue reading »

It’s sweet 16 for the naughty boys from South Park, as the series returns for its 16th season with seven all-new episodes. To celebrate, Comedy Central New Zealand will air a ‘Sweet Sixteen’ marathon on Sunday 13 May with the top 16 South Park episodes as voted by you!

Underbelly to be set in Queensland?

The next season of Underbelly in Australia is said to be set in Queensland for the first time. It is believed the series will focus on the Fitzgerald inquiry of the 1980s, which focused on police corruption.

South Park video game

A video game is being developed that is based on South Park for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It will be a full-fledged role-playing game where you arrive in South Park as a new kid and must make friends and protect the town from threats and dangers.

Chuck actor joins Hot In Cleveland

Chuck actor Ryan McPartlin has landed a guest role in Hot In Cleveland where he is expected to share a storyline with Susan Lucci.

Almighty Johnsons to sceen in Australia

The Almighty Johnsons will begin screening on Channel Ten in Australia next month, taking over the timeslot Go Girls was previously in.

South Park renewed

South Park has been renewed until 2016 by Comedy Central. The cartoon will air for at least another three seasons.

Cain to guest on Criminal Minds

Former Superman actor Dean Cain has landed a guest role on Criminal Minds. The actor, who played Clark Kent in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, will appear in the 13th episode of the current season.

Pilkington and Davis to team up?

Karl Pilkington from An Idiot Abroad may be teaming up with Ricky Gervais again for a new series with Life’s Too Short actor Warwick Davis. Davis said “We’ve had a couple of meetings about it, and it is something in discussion at the moment.”

JJ Abrams swaps Alcatraz showrunners

JJ Abrams has swapped showrunners on his new thriller series Alcatraz, replacing the departing Elizabeth Sarnoff with Lost’s Jennifer Johnson and Miami Vice’s Daniel Pyne.

Olympic flame to visit EastEnders

The Olympic flame will feature on British soap EastEnders next year ahead of the 2012 summer Olympic Games in London. A character will carry the torch through the show’s iconic Albert Square.
