Star Portraits

UKTV – Sundays from 31 August, 7.00pm

Star Portraits with Rolf Harris is both a showcase for professional portrait artists and a revealing new way of profiling famous people. It’s part art show, part chat show. In each programme a well-known personality has their portrait painted by three professional artists, each of whom will be doing their best to capture the essence of the celebrity using their own particular style. Rolf Harris guides the viewer through the painting process, explaining the various techniques and sharing the highs and lows with the artist. At the end of each episode all three finished portraits are revealed and the celebrity must choose their favourite to keep. Featured celebrities this series are: Cilla Black (singer, television star), Mo Mowlam (British politician, secretary of Northern Ireland and Labour Member for Parliament), Adrian Edmondson (actor, comedian, director and writer) and Richard Wilson OBE (actor and director).

This unique new series is part art show, part chat show bringing celebrity to the art word.
