The Bachelorette

logo_Prime_BacheloretteIt’s not the sort of news you want prior to a program going to air but one of the contestants on the upcoming season of The Bachelorette has died in a paragliding accident.

Eric Hill, a contestant on the upcoming season of The Bachelorette, passed away Wednesday following a paragliding accident on Sunday.

“Eric shared his final journey with us this morning as all his immediate family were able to be at his side when he passed away,” Hill’s sister Karen Tracy posted on Facebook. “Thank you to all of your love and support and prayers and fasting. It was amazing to be with so many of his friends and family yesterday in the hospital who came to express their love for Eric. He gave us such a gift of a life fully lived and fully shared, and allowed us all to be a part of his last adventure here on earth. It is hard to think of life without his bright spark, but we know he is on to new adventures. We look forward to carrying on his legacy here and greeting him joyfully again someday. I love you so much, little brother!”

12:30pm Friday, October 7 on TV2

Jillian Harris is back to find the man of her dreams – and hopefully her groom-to-be in TV2’s brand new season of The Bachelorette.

This single, very eligible Bachelorette – a confident, successful and sensitive woman who is ready to find love – will embark on a romantic journey as she meets 30 handsome and intelligent men.

As the Bachelorette gets to know each one, she’ll continue to narrow the field. They will travel to exotic locations and spend time getting to know each other; she will introduce them to her family and friends and meet some of theirs.

At the end of her romantic voyage, if she has found Mr Right, will there be a proposal – and from whom?

Jillian Harris, 29, a restaurant interior designer who currently resides in Vancouver, British Columbia, became an instant fan favourite when she appeared in the most recent edition of The Bachelor, and came close to being the woman Jason Mesnick selected.

Enthusiastic about her work and life in general, Jillian is ready to find her best friend and settle down and is confident that she can find the love of her life.
